It is important to note however, that in 2001, an American-based company called Musical Properties, Inc. In 1985, the Aeolian-American Corporation filed for bankruptcy and production of A.B. Chase piano line, the name remained intact throughout the years. Despite the tumultuous history of the A.B. The American Piano Company merged with one of the largest piano conglomerates in history and became the Aeolian-American Corporation. The Lester Piano Company took over the United Piano Corporation, and eventually merged with the American Piano Company. Chase, and a long road of fluid ownership ensued. In 1922, the United Piano Corporation acquired A.B. Located in Norwalk, Ohio, the company spent their first decade in business producing organs, before making the transition to producing mostly pianos.
